For family and friends
How well do you know those closest to you?
For best friends, mothers and daughters, brothers and sisters, cousins, and anyone you are close to. You both answer the same question. Neither of you sees the other's answer until you have both written your own.
Questions people exchange
What is your earliest memory?
What did you understand about your parents only once you were grown?
When and where have you been happiest?
What have you never told me that you think I should know?
How it works
- Pick a question and answer it.Choose from hundreds written for family and friends, or write your own.
- Send it.They learn a question arrived and that you answered it. They cannot read your answer yet.
- They answer, and both answers unlock.Your words and theirs open at the same moment, for the two of you alone.
- Keep going.Together, your answers fill a journal only the two of you keep. Over time it becomes your story, together told.
A coach, built in
Some questions are hard to answer. When one is, the coach can help. It asks you questions that help you remember, reflect, or find the words on the tip of your tongue. It never writes your answer. It helps you say it yourself.
Questions you might have
Who can read what I write?
Only the one person you sent it to, and only after they write their own answer. The site never publishes it, and no setting makes it public.
Can I take my words back?
Yes. You can edit or withdraw any answer at any time, without asking anyone. You can also decline a question, or just never answer it, and nobody is told.
Does an AI write answers for me?
No, never. The coach only asks you questions that help you find what you want to say. Every word in your journal is one you wrote.
Who is it for?
Adults, eighteen and over, who already know each other and want to know each other better.
Does my whole family or group of friends have to join?
No. Every connection is between two people. Start with one person, and add others when you want to. Each pair has its own journal.
Start with someone close to you
We built Together Told for private words between two people. An answer goes only to the person you send it to, and the site never publishes it. Together Told is for people eighteen and over.
